Extension: Make all the numbers from 1-20. Make all the numbers from 1-20 using each one of the core math operations (+, -, x, /).

Science: We will be looking at energy over the next few weeks. This is related to aspects in both the grade 3 (Thermal energy can be produced and transferred) and grade 4 (Energy can be transformed) curriculum. Some activities will be combined and some activities will be separate but all of them will support developing a greater understanding of energy.

Social Studies: 

Grade 3 students will investigate how diverse cultures can share common experiences (People from diverse cultures and societies share some common experiences and aspects of life) and (Indigenous knowledge is passed down through oral history, traditions, and collective memory). 

Activities: 

We will learn about how knowledge is passed down between generation.

What is Culture Project. Details will be provided in class and shared with parents by email. 

Grade four students will be investigating contact and change between European settlers and the First Nations population. (The pursuit of valuable natural resources has played a key role in changing the land, people, and communities of Canada and Demographic changes in North America created shifts in economic and political power.)
